That’s why we are dedicated to offering GEARS 8(a) Small Business Leadership Development (SBLD) Seminars for your organizational development. These series of seminars and trainings will provide you with guidance, tools and resources necessary to manage and sustain your business.  You will learn about a variety of important business development topics, including: strategic planning, business accounting and pricing basics, technology services to promote your business, legal considerations, and effective marketing and outreach strategies.

The GEARS 8(a) SBLD Seminars series will challenge and energize you, give you a fresh perspective on real-world challenges, and equip you with success strategies for organizational leadership and management. GEARS 8(a) SBLD training sessions on proposal development and preparing an 8(a) Certification Package will provide support that can assist your assent to new horizons.

 

 

Part 1: Enrichment Seminars

 

Seminar 101       Accounting and Pricing

Improve your chances of winning contracts through creating effective pricing and cost proposals.   Gain an understanding of how to calculate cost elements, including: indirect costs, indirect rates, general and administrative rates, and other fees.  Learn techniques to maximize profit and minimize costs.  These techniques will help you develop an accurate government accounting system so that you can produce accurate financials. This seminar will present information on the following topics:

Training 201       Proposal Development

Training 202       Preparing an 8(a) Certification Package

Are you prepared to become 8(a) certified? Come receive one-on-one training to prepare your 8(a) certification package. Receive an assessment of your 8(a) readiness for only $250.00 for a two-hour review. Additional advisement and counseling services will be offered for $150.00/hr.
